A Live Edge Dining Room Table or Kitchen Table preserves the original shape of the tree – leaving the natural or “live” edge sides in the final piece. The Live Edge style shows off the natural character of the wood, and we are experts in both traditional and modern ways of preserving the small splits, voids, knots and natural variations that make these pieces so unique.
We use our knowledge and experience to treat each piece of Live Edge wood differently, keeping as much of the character and bringing out the unique grain of each piece. For example, large cracks or voids in the wood can be repaired with inlays and “bowties” rather than being removed or hidden. This allows for the stunning natural patterns and colors within the wood grain to be revealed.
